for example, the two pumps are 1401 and 1402. If we change those to 1410 and 1420, then the signals from them (run, fault, hand, etc) can be 1411, 1412, 1413 - 1421, 1422, 1423 etc.
Or leave the pump tags 1401 and 1402, and name the signals 1401A, 1401B, 1401C - 1402A, 1402B, 1402C etc.
