# SIGNL4 Support Request — Orphaned Team Memberships **To:** support@signl4.com **From:** mason@autosysnet.com **Subject:** Orphaned invite memberships preventing team deletion and consuming licenses --- Hi SIGNL4 Support, We have orphaned invite membership records in our account that we cannot remove via the API or web portal. These ghost records are consuming user licenses and preventing team deletion. ## Account Details - **Subscription ID:** `80000d14-c10b-4c3e-8c5e-d8b37f43acd7` - **Subscription Owner:** facilityquantum@gmail.com - **Plan:** Free Trial (10 user licenses) ## The Problem We used the `POST /api/v2/teams/memberships` endpoint to invite 6 users to a team. The first invite succeeded, but the remaining 5 failed with "no remaining user licenses." However, the API still created team membership records (status=2, pending invite) for the failed invitations without creating corresponding user accounts. We then deleted the successfully invited user, but the 5 orphaned membership records remain: - **Affected Team:** `b5814cdd-10fb-4f7f-a496-5eb9b573741a` (named "GQ3 P1-High") - **Ghost Memberships (status=2, no corresponding user accounts):** - ganeshkr@google.com - shaunj@google.com - djmacaskill@google.com - leonbrill@google.com - plaptev@google.com ## What We've Tried 1. **DELETE `/api/v2/teams/{teamId}/memberships/{userId}`** — Returns error 3003: "User who wants to delete invite was not found" (the invited user accounts don't exist) 2. **DELETE `/api/v2/users/{userId}`** — Returns 404 (user accounts were never fully created) 3. **DELETE `/api/v2/teams/{teamId}`** — Returns error 9001: "Team has members who don't belong to any other team" (the ghost users can't be moved) 4. **Web Portal** — The team shows 7 members via API but only displays 2 real members in the UI; the ghosts are invisible and unmanageable ## Impact - **License usage shows 8/10** despite only 3 real users existing - We cannot invite the users we need for our on-call alerting setup - The corrupted team cannot be deleted ## Request Please delete team `b5814cdd-10fb-4f7f-a496-5eb9b573741a` and all its orphaned membership records, or purge the ghost memberships so our license count returns to 3/10. We have already created a replacement team (`2f0a0f3d-e629-47fe-a8a5-6b8272eecc85`, also named "GQ3 P1-High") with the correct members. Thank you for your help.
