Troubleshoot analog signal to polymer. Poly system stays at zero speed when system turns on.
Measured analog when system was running at Poly panel. showed 0ma
Measured analog when system was running at 7020 panel. showed 0ma
Adam had us test the output with Poly HOA in Hand. output still read 0ma
Began the process of moving from analog output CH0 to CH2.
Went online with the processor and enabled CH2 in the card configuration.
set the clamping limits to 4000 and 20000.
Found where the analog output is being written to in the program.
Found the following:
POLYMER- RUNG 12
program was telling the analog output to be 0 when HOA is off.
confused because the settings of the analog card should clamp it at 4000.
set source from 0 to 4000 and tested by putting physical hoa in hand then off.
analog output is now reading 4ma.
put hoa in hand
analog output is now 7.5 ma
testing the system again
system worked.
put the source from Rung 12 back to 0 and had Mychal turn the system off and back on again.
system still worked.
confused as to why the system is now working.
seems possible that by changing the settings of the analog output card, it maybe re-wrote configurations to the card, thereby fixing some "glitch" in the card.
Mychal put the system on and is running it to see how she does.
for grins, I verified that the 7010 plc also writes 0 to the output when HOA is off
It does.
