**09:38 [Kevin](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765820299938799):** Mason has time to put into this project if you are ready
**09:39 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765820378133739):** Ok. I'll try to invest time to set him up. Thanks for creating the channel
**09:41 [Kevin](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765820478690849):** I wonder if I can get up to speed on this ACM program so I can help you? Do you have a P&ID for these booster stations?
**09:41 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765820497917009):** CIty of Paso - Water - Orchard Bungalow Booster
No P&ID, just old Tesco drawings
**09:41 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765820501387469):** I was looking those up
**09:41 [Kevin](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765820512820999):** in the shared drive?
**09:42 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765820566776799):** 3 VFD booster, two primary pumps one big one
**09:43 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765820617819849):** PSI discharge and intake, flow rate
**09:46 [Kevin](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765820773434039):** this probably goes in story time, but I was working at this pump station wiring in a trial VFD when OJ Simpson got sentenced. I was listening to it on the radio.
**09:46 [Mason Radke](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765820817101349):** this particular booster station??
**09:47 [Kevin](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765820820601049):** yep
**09:47 [Mason Radke](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765820829290959):** wow! like '87?
**09:47 [Mason Radke](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765820836930549):** or is that when it went down
**09:47 [Kevin](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765820837363489):** '94 I think
**09:47 [Mason Radke](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765820838695739):** yeah
**09:51 [Kevin](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765821060153029):** @andy do you have an ACM project you can share with me as a reference?
**10:07 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822054450949):**
![[F0A397HACB1_image.png]]
**10:07 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822077884459):** I'm just gonna go through and set this up. You add your IO just like a normal project, then you can tie the IO through this app, then it creates a Studio project
**10:11 [Kevin](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822306669679):** Are these rockwell VFDs?
**10:11 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822313591669):** no,
**10:11 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822318836369):** Eaton drives
**10:12 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822336301409):** so the VSD is a generic veriable speed drive object
**10:12 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822352835229):** they have 755 objects for powerflex matching drives but for these they are just basic VSDs
**10:13 [Kevin](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822413540539):** copy. we are used to the generic. lots of ABB drives at South county
**10:13 [Kevin](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822427028969):** IO is hardwired?
**10:13 [Kevin](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822435486869):** is that in the drawings?
**10:16 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822560742209):** https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PkUDI1mPvSRilvdYjtJLvSxiBQKnzM0X/view?usp=drive_link
**10:16 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822570476989):** I started a folder for this project on my shared google drive
**10:16 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822594635439):** this link is my panel drawings for this project, this panel has been built and is mounted on site
**10:16 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822608353439):** IO Hardwired, no comms except PLC to SCADA Via Modbus
**10:17 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822631388779):** *control comms**
**10:19 [Kevin](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822749081469):** Paso is AB to Modbus to Ignition?
**10:19 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822768338059):** you lost me
**10:19 [Kevin](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822785901549):** ab plc's talking modbus to ignition?
**10:20 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822831730569):** Paso SCADA radio telemetry is 900Mhz, serial comms. I will use that radio to talk modbus to the Booster PLC to hand off telemetry data
There will be a local instance of Ignition (Edge) that interacts with the PLC and the PAX instances
**10:21 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822860999089):** There will actually be no connection between this Ignition Edge instance and Ignition Primary SCADA gateway, it's an island
**10:21 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822895734739):** AB PLC on site will just connect to Ignition Edge via the Ethernet local connection and using the AB Ignition drive like usual.
**10:22 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822963251429):** On the SCADA site SCADA telemetry data comes over the 900Mhz radio network into the SCADA AB PLC via Modbus and into Ignition there.
Right now I'm prepared to handle that side of things. But the programming for the PLC side I need Mason
**10:23 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765822996031539):** I will handle the Ignition Edge HMI Programming as well. Easy enough for me to replicate another project and update it with new object versions etc.
**10:44 [Kevin](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765824243991669):** ok, so Ignition Edge as local HMI and comms to SCADA via Modbus serial.
**10:47 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765824478373089):** 4 Pump, not a 3 Pump Sorry
**11:19 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765826387097549):** Just talked to customer:
Pump 1: VFD Duty Pump 1
**11:20 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765826416213279):** Pump 2: VDF Duty Pump 2
Pump 3: ATL Duty Pump 3
Pump 4: ATL Fire Pump
**11:20 [andy](https://slack.com/archives/C0A4JNJ8B7S/p1765826444404999):** Pumps 1-3 run in lead lag standby alternating, pump 4 is fire pump, last
